Objective
The Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK), The Hang Seng University
of Hong Kong (HSUHK) and HKCT Institute of Higher Education (HKCTIHE)). received
a research grant with the topic of "The International Symposium on Virtual
/Augmented Reality (V/AR) Inspection Training and Education in Modular Integrated
Construction (MiC)" from the Inter-Institutional Development Scheme
(IIDS), which is one of the funding schemes in the University Grants Committee
(UGC) to enhance academics research capability in the local self-financing
degree-awarding institutions and keep them abreast of new developments and
challenging research topics in relevant fields at higher education in Hong
Kong. The aims of the captioned event will
share the current VR/AR applications, emerging inspection technologies
and trainings for the traditional construction method to students, academics,
industrial practitioners and professional institutions.
