Programme Highlights

Engineering is a tough and demanding career, where sophisticated mind and hard-working attitude is indispensable.  Have you ever thought that you can transfer these strengths to open a new door for you (e.g. Engineering -> IC Company -> Investment Bank -> Technology Stocks Hedge Fund)?  In this seminar, Mr. Fred WONG, a hedge fund manager will share with you his trace of the career path and turning points.

About the Speaker

Founder and Fund Manager of eFusion Capital Limited, graduate from the Department of Industrial & Manufacturing Systems Engineering (Semiconductor Stream), the University of Hong Kong. 

Fred held various management positions with several semiconductor companies. 

After 10 years in the semiconductor industry, he started his new career in the financial sector.

At BNP Paribas, Fred and his team were ranked No. 5 and No. 8 respectively in the hardware sector of the 2008 Institutional Investor All-Asia research survey, and he was ranked No. 1 in the IT sector of the 2009 StarMine survey.  Fred is the author of the investment books “對沖拆解王” and “對沖拆解王2 賞金獵人投資技術”.  He is also the co-author of a blood type book - “Bloody AI Alchemist” which is available on Amazon.

Fred was invited by SFC, HKSFA, Bloomberg, NowTV, Cable TV, TVB, RTHK, and Family Office Conferences, etc. to speak on technology-related topics.  He also represented BNP to comment on technology stocks on media.
