Programme Highlights

Three speakers are invited to share the latest technology and development of Electronic Security system and their application in Hotel and Home. The speakers will also share the trend of locking system (from traditional mechanical lock to the latest electronic lock).

The technical talk was co-organized by the Open University of Hong Kong - the School of Science and Technology, The HKIE – Manufacturing and Industrial (MI) Division and The Locksmithing Institute of Hong Kong, supported by VTC – Engineering Discipline Alumni Association (EDAA). The technical talk was held in the Room D0313 of OUHK on 12th August 2017. Total 115 persons joined the seminar. Three speakers were invited to present in the seminar. Mr John Wang (Channel System Ltd.) introduced the latest technology of electronic security system used in hotel. Mr. Penny Lau (Jablotron Pacific Asia Ltd) and Mr. Dicky Poon (CRG Group) introduced the past and current mechanical and electronic lock and how to select an appropriate security system used for the domestic users.

The participants asked many questions about the selection of security system and limitations of the current system. The technical talk was end at 12:30 pm.
