NOTICE OF THE 40TH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM)NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the 40th Annual General Meeting of the Manufacturing & Industrial Division will be held on Thursday, 25 April 2019 at 6:30pm at ClubOne, Shop 61-66, G/F, Building 12W, Hong Kong Science Park, Shatin, New Territories, for the following purposes:
- To receive and confirm the Minutes of the 39th AGM.
- To receive and adopt the Annual Report of the Division for Session 2018/2019.
- To receive and adopt the Financial Statement of the Division for Session 2018/2019.
- To elect the Chairman and Ordinary Members of the Division Committee for Session 2019/2020.
- To elect the Council Member (Division) for Sessions 2019/2020 and 2020/2021.
In case of adjournment of the AGM, members of the Division shall check on the Institution’s website at http://www.hkie.org.hk and the Division’s website at http://mi.hkie.org.hk of the revised venue, time and date for the adjourned AGM.

Nominations for Division Chairman, Ordinary Members and Council Member (Division)
Division Chairman
The outgoing Division Committee has decided to nominate Ir Dr Eric LIU Sai Lok for election as the Chairman for Session 2019/2020.
No other nomination has been received from members by the nomination deadline.
Ordinary Members - under Clause 7.2(c) of the Division Rules
The outgoing Division Committee has decided to opt for the maximum of 14 Ordinary Members, and five Ordinary Members in the Committee shall retire by end of the Session, namely Ir Dr Eric LIU Sai Lok, Ir Dr Peter TSE Wai Tat, Ir Dr Victor LO Hing Yau, Ir Dr MAK Shu Lun and Ir Dr LAI Kam Keung.
Following the retirement of the above Ordinary Members, there are five vacancies for the Ordinary Members.
The Division Committee has decided to nominate the following five candidates for Ordinary Members for a three-year term: Ir Dr Victor LO Hing Yau, Ir Dr LAI Kam Keung, Ir Sidney WONG Wing Fai, Ir Dr CHAU Yiu Chung and Ir Dr CHEUNG Hoi Hoi.
No other nomination has been received from members by the nomination deadline.
Ordinary Member - under Clause 7.2(d) of the Division Rules (i.e. Ordinary Member of the Committee who is of 35 years of age or below)
Ir Peter CHOW Hin Yan shall retire by end of the Session. Following the retirement of Ir Peter CHOW Hin Yan, there is one vacancy for the Ordinary Member. The Division Committee has decided to nominate Miss Candace CHAN Yuen Yu for the Ordinary Member for a three-year term

Council Member (Division)
The outgoing Division Committee has decided to nominate Ir Dr Ritz LAU Ming Ho for election as Council Member (Division) for Sessions 2019/2020 and 2020/2021.
