Programme Highlights

Working throughout the years, engineers would begin to have some supervisory or managerial duties. In order to advance their career, engineers need to master the relevant soft skills. The seminar will introduce some key soft skills such as communication, etiquette and public speaking; coaching and handle difficult conversation in the workplace; and how to become emerging leaders in leading teams. Afterwards, a real case study in engineering industry will be shared for career coaching in which participants will be guided to put their own shoes into the case characters through a mix use of media, case and G.R.O.W. Model.

Mrs Karen Cheung Dyer is a seasoned educational consultant and trainer on Mediation & various Corporate Training Courses. She is the author of 告別一試定終生 香港多元升學啓示錄 with Enrich Publishing Ltd. Karen is a Distinguished Toastmasters (D.T.M.) of Toastmasters International and has been successful in various contests since 2004. She helped found various corporate clubs, community advanced clubs and was invited as mentor for the Professional Trainers Toastmasters Club. She is the 2007 Scholarship award holder for the English-Speaking Union International Relations Conference held in Oriel College, Oxford, U. K. and is now serving as Director for this education charity in Hong Kong. Her speciality areas are Communications, Presentation Skills and Public Speaking - English & Chinese; Corporate Creativity, Client Servicing, Disputes Handling & Media Skills; Mediation Techniques and Team Building; Personal Effectiveness & Well being; Professional Image, Social etiquette & Networking.

Ir Richard Tse is a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers. He is a Chartered Engineer, Chartered Health and Safety Practitioner, Registered Safety Officer and Registered Safety Auditor. Ir Tse has worked for a number of multinational companies in elevator and escalator, printing, logistics, garment accessories manufacturing, container terminal, electronics manufacturing and machinery manufacturing industries for various quality, environment, safety, engineering and managerial positions in Hong Kong, China and Asia Pacific with rich experience in multi-cultural working environment. Recently, he founded Allied Rich Asia Limited (ARA), a virtual organisation for the provision of professional services in management, engineering, environment, health, safety, security, sustainability, quality, auditing, training & manpower outsourcing and product supplies. He is active in volunteering work for professional engineering and safety institutions in Hong Kong. He has been invited by a number of local universities to deliver talks to engineering students for career development. He has mentored many young engineers for career development.

Ms Natalie Wong is ex. Human Resources Manager of Tom Group and Vice President PR of Kowloon Toastmaster Club. She is co-founder of Career Muse Technology & Service Co Limited which is a multiple website company offering Career Coaching, Job Posting, Employer Branding & Recruitment and Blog services. While promoting Career Mental Health, Career Muse is passionate in the radio production for Community Involvement Broadcasting Services (Career Muse 360) at Radio Television Hong Kong https://gbcode.rthk.hk/TuniS/cibs.rthk.hk to serve the Hong Kong community.
