Programme Highlight
Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) is an innovative construction method by adopting the concept of “factory assembly followed by on-site installation”, free-standing integrated modules (completed with finishes, fixtures and fittings) are manufactured and assembled in a factory.
MiC provides a great degree of production quality control, and can improve construction productivity, safety and sustainability.
Advanced manufacturing and industrial technologies have great impact and contribution to the development of MiC. To appreciate the innovative design of MiC with their manufacturing or fabrication, a 2-day technical visit will be made to the following two factories in Zhuhai and Zhaoqing:
- AluHouse Company Limited (鋁遊家有限公司)(http://www.aluhouse.com/en/): Founded in 2014, with its headquarter located in Hong Kong, AluHouse is a total solution provider engaging in R&D, design, production, sales and installation service of modular integrated construction (MiC).
- China State Hailong Construction Technology Company Limited (中國海龍建築科技有限公司) (https://www.cschl.com.cn/en/Home): A subsidiary of China State Construction International Holdings Limited, is dedicated to providing industrial chain solutions for new construction methods.
