Objective

The HKIE MIS Industry Award 2022 is aimed at providing a platform that allows various MIS engineering stakeholders to share their recent achievements in smart manufacturing with different industrial sectors and to enhance a better understanding of how to integrate different advanced technologies for developing practical smart manufacturing systems/solutions. In addition, the Industry Award 2022 is to recognise the excellent achievements of relevant industries in enhancing their manufacturing productivity, product quality and innovation through adoption and implementation of the smart manufacturing systems/solutions.

Three award categories

1.     Smart Manufacturing Award;

2.     Reindustrialisation Award; and

3.     Innovation Award.

Written in English or Chinese

Judging criteria

Judging Panel will examine the submissions whether the project natures are matched with MIS

discipline. The shortlisted applicants will be invited to deliver a 15-minute final presentation on their works in which the Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Merit Awards will be determined. All participants will receive Participation Certificates.

Eligibility

Ÿ   The applicant could be individual or team.

Ÿ   The applicant should be HKSAR Permanent Resident or Hong Kong registered company / organisation with a valid Hong Kong Business Registration Certificate.

Ÿ   Each Project should be

-    designed or deployed in Hong Kong or Greater Bay Area.

-    implemented in or after 2019.

-    submitted to one award category only.

Application

This application is free of charge. Applicant must submit all relevant works on the above award categories with the following formats:

Ÿ   Max. 2-page with 1,000 words executive summary

Ÿ   Max. 20-page presentation PowerPoint slides

In addition, the applicant may submit any supporting documents (e.g., a project report, a website, a video, and a physical product) if necessary.

Project Sharing Session

All awardees would be invited to present their awarded project in the Award Ceremony & Awardees Sharing Session on 20-August-2022 and all awarded projects with relevant information will be published on this website. Therefore, MIS stakeholders can broaden their horizon from the successful projects.

Award Ceremony

All trophies and certificates will be presented to awardees in Award Ceremony at the HKIE MIS Gala Dinner 2022 on 13-October-2022. Besides, the winners of each award category would be invited to give a project’s sharing. Therefore, MIS stakeholders can touch on the awardees for potential collaboration.
