Technical Seminar: 3D Printing Process : From Design to Print

Programme Highlights

This seminar presents the process and consideration on 3D printed parts design and modeling, and also on the slicing parameters setting. A 3D solid modeling and a slicing program will be used as live demonstration. FDM type 3D printing is assumed.

General technical issues on standard DIY 3D printers will be highlighted and their resolution will be proposed. Any issues related to the DIY Workshop on 3D Printing held on 10-11 Dec 2016 can be brought up for discussion.

Language: English (supplemented with Cantonese whenever appropriated)

Speakers

Ir Ritz Lau. Chief Engineer, Senior Manager, Head of Automation at Herald Datanetics Limited. He is a Fellow of Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (FHKIE), and is a member of ASME and IMechE. He has extensive experience in managing all thinfilm tape head
